As the fall season is rounding the bases, the Corps of Cadets Baseball team gets ready for their favorite time of the year…
Wood Wars!

Wood Wars is a wood bat tournament that welcomes teams from across the nation to compete against each other before the season kicks off in the Spring. Sixteen teams will be competing this year at Wood Wars including Corps of Cadets’ conference rival, University of Houston – Downtown. The Corps team looks to show the other National Club Baseball Association (NCBA) teams what they’ve got, and get some great experience in preparation for their conference games.

The tournament will be played in Euless, Texas at the Parks at Texas Star on November 4-6. The weekend will include tournament style pool play with four different pools competing for four playoff spots. The playoff games will be played on Sunday to determine the Wood Wars champion! There will also be a homerun derby for all teams to compete in for a cash prize, and raffles for fans to participate in. Additionally, Saturday the 5th has been designated as military appreciation day, so all military personnel will be admitted free.

The Cadets have loved competing in this tournament for years, so come support the Corps team in Euless as they BTHO of Wood Wars!
